"One of the best features of the Pittsburgh Plan is how realistic it is. I get home from work at 6:30, and the [children] go to sleep at 8:30. . . . Still, I seem to be able to scrounge a half hour to work with each of them during the week. Similarly, on the weekend we have errands, birthday parties, and various family outings to compete with. It's a blessing to be able to pull a worksheet off the stack, glance at the book's recommendations, and get going. Even though you describe the worksheets as "Sample Homeworks," my guess is that the vast majority will simply use them as they are. Maybe it's a little sad that we are reduced to a "grab and go" mentality when it comes to our children's education, but we've got the Pittsburgh Plan to thank for making it work."

"We have been using the excellent daily format of the Pittsburgh Plan to incorporate Chinese characters, and nouns that begin with the letters learned each day as well as the Chinese translations for the geometric shapes and math problems. We are delighted that our daughter loves to learn and loves to learn with us!"
