The Pittsburgh Plan is an innovative, non-profit program that helps young children excel at reading and math. Brief parent-child learning sessions, free of pressure, result in high levels of achievement, a love of learning, and sense of justified self-confidence.
The Pittsburgh Plan has spread rapidly by word of mouth, and is now helping children experience the joy of pressure-free mastery of math and reading across the world.
"The Plan costs little or no money, but it does . . . .require you to spend time with your children. If you don’t want to spend time with your child, then I expect the Plan won’t work for you. But if you like the idea of spending part of an hour each day with your child in focused, intimate joint effort, you’ll love the Plan."

Does the Plan Work? In truth, there is no system that suits every child. But many of the children who have tried the Plan have enjoyed it and stuck with it -- and in their cases the results have been extraordinary:
5 and 6-year-olds routinely enter elementary school years ahead of age level in reading and math.
Gifted 7-year-old children work easily at middle school levels, and continue on to excel in AP Calculus courses as early as 8th, 7th and even 6th grade.
These results are achieved by children attending public schools and working less than forty minutes per week under the Plan.
